I am doing well.  My brother, Bill, has been with me since yesterday morning.  His wife, Vickie, will be joining us today for a weekend of family time together.

Nurse Gwen and Nicole were absolutely wonderful.  They arrived very shortly have Howard's death.  Gwen took care of everything, including me.  She and Nicole did an amazing job preparing Howard's body for the trip to Emory and seeing it through until the transport was made.

Maggie's having a difficult time, staying close to me and looking around the house for Howard.  Bill and I have been giving her special love and lots of cuddling.  And she ate her breakfast this morning.

Thanks so much for all the loving emails that have flooding my way.  I'm not going to try to answer them, but I want you all to know how very special to me those messages are.  What an amazing host of earthly angels surround us.

I will make few most blog posts to let you know how I'm doing before I transition back to my painting blog.

Have a wonderful Friday.
Dianne

  1. Dear, Dear Dianne.....I am overwhelmed with emotions.....joy/celebration for Howard's life and release from her illness; sadness & emptiness for the loss of a friend/loved one...immense admiration & love for you!!! Death is a process we all have to face and accept. I have NEVER seen anyone in my life time go through this process with such grace, honesty and strength as you have. I do believe in the power of prayer & love.....I know those are two elements that have helped you through this. Diane, I hope you realize that people have loved you and Howard because you have given back that love to others. I hope when I am faced this this trial, I will have half the "earthly angels" surrounding me as you have had. God bless you and continue to lift you up. Your friend, Janie O
