Thursday Morning, January 28, 2010

Howard left us this morning at 6:15.   She had been unconscious for most of the day yesterday and all during the night. She is at peace.  I am at peace.

Many years ago, both Howard and I donated our bodies to Emory University Medical School.  Howard has requested that there be no funeral nor memorial service, rather that sometime down the road we gather together for a dinner toasting her life.  And both she and I request no flowers.  Instead please send a memorial donation to our favorite local organization and that is

The Circle of Hope Shelter
For Battered Women & Their Children
P. O. Box 833
Cornelia, GA  30531

God bless you all for the love you continue to show us.
Dianne

  4. energy cannot be created
    energy cannot be destroyed
    Howard, so long has waited
    death be her reward

    there is no more tomorrow
    there is no more past
only now we feel the sorrow
comforted by Howards' freedom at last

  9. Beloved, you are both in my heart. This life is so blessed in ways we can't even begin to understand. Howard was one of my first Teachers in this life, and I owe her a large portion of who I am. My story is richer for having loved her, as is everyone's who knew her. I love to imagine her in the next realm, free and made of pure joy. Diane, You are so loved. so loved.
